OUTDOOR FUN (June – August)

Children will have an hour of supervised pool time, which includes organized activities and a free swim period, followed by 30 minutes of party time when refreshments may be served. EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE
(ages 7 and up)
The horse-loving birthday child and friends will groom and interact with the horses as they learn the basics of horse management and safety. This is a non-mounted program. Package includes one hour and 30 minutes of activity followed by 30 minutes of party time.

HORSE & CRAFT
(ages 2-4)
For our younger horse lovers, children will create their own keepsake by crafting a horse-themed picture frame and then go for a short ride. Each child must be accompanied by an adult to ride. Package includes one hour and 15 minutes of activity followed by 30 minutes of party time.

FUN WITH HORSES
(ages 4-6)
Explore the tack room, feed room, and stalls at Sunnyside. Learn how to groom a horse and what it means to “tack up”. Each child must be accompanied by an adult to ride. Package includes one hour and 30 minutes of activity followed by 30 minutes of party time.

MORE FUN WITH HORSES
(ages 7-9)
Return to Sunnyside for more fun with our horses! Learn how to make a horse’s dinner and how to keep his stall neat and clean. Take a mini-riding lesson to learn how to stop, go, and steer your horse through an obstacle course. Each child must be accompanied by an adult to ride. Package includes one hour and 30 minutes of activity followed by 30 minutes of party time.

This 90 minute outdoor program of team activities includes trust, problem solving and other non-competitive games which allow the group to form relationships and boundaries that support teamwork and create an environment of active learning followed by 30 minutes of party time at an outdoor shelter. PORTABLE CLIMBING WALL (April-October)

This 90 minute program allows participants to be belayed from the ground as they work on building confidence and physical coordination with the support of the team while attempting to climb to the top of the 25 foot wall followed by 30 minutes of party time at an outdoor shelter. ARCHERY

This 90-minute program allows participants to try their hand at Archery. This is appropriate for those who have never shot a bow, or those with some previous experience. We will concentrate on range rules, safety rules and fundamentals of archery, and is taught using a compound bow followed by 30 minutes of party time.

CANOE ADVENTURE (April-October)
(ages 8 and up)
Enjoy scenic Marlu Lake at Thompson Park from the seat of a canoe. Your party will consist of a two hour beginner canoe lesson plus some on the water paddling games. The paddling activity will be followed by 30 minutes of party time at a picnic grove near Marlu Lake. Two to three adult chaperon's must be present for the canoeing activity. This party is weather permitting.

THRILL OF THE HUNT - GEOCACHING
(ages 8 and up)
Take your party off the beaten path and go Geocaching. During this two hour party we will teach and help you find hidden trinkets throughout Thompson Park. Within reason, we can collaborate with party planners to hide favors and presents. Two to three chaperon's must be present for the geocaching activity. 30 minutes of party room time is also included.

A ROYAL PARTY

From princesses to pirate kings, children’s imaginations will soar! King of the jungle or queen of the castle chooses from a variety of children’s stories, and party-goers create a craft project to go with it. Party includes 45 minutes of craft and story time, and 30 minutes of party room time.

The birthday youngster will pre-select an item from our array of bisque-fired party pieces. Party includes 45 minutes to 1 hour of supervised instruction to paint items that will be glazed and fired for pick-up approximately 1 week later. One hour of party room time is also included.

Party includes 1 hour of painting instruction by certified “Aspiring Artist” instructor Debra Stasiak. Also includes 45 minutes of party room time.

BIG BIRTHDAY BASH!
(ages 7 and up)
Shoot a three pointer in our 8 foot high inflatable basketball goal and then off to our tripod hockey rink where you will face off against friends as you defend your goals while trying to score in multiple opponents goals. Party includes 1 hour of activities and 1 hour of party time in an indoor or covered location. Activities will be held outdoors, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, activities will be modified and held indoors.

ECO-ADVENTURES PARTIES
Choose one of our themed parties that are designed to engage your child and guests in hands-on nature activities and games. Please schedule at least 6 weeks in advance. Party includes 1-hour of activities and 1-hour of party room time.

Scales and Trails (ages 3-10)
Your budding naturalist and pals will enjoy a session with several residents of our Reptile House here at Huber Woods followed by a nature-inspired craft. The party includes a walk on our Discovery Path as well where your naturalist guide will engage the children using their various senses to explore the bucolic surroundings of our lovely park.
Scavenger Hunt (ages 5-10)
No matter the season, the natural world has many interesting and wonderful offerings to see, hear and touch. Children will employ their investigative skills to find the objects on their lists, tailored for the time of year your celebration occurs. Afterwards, they will play games of bingo with their cards symbolizing what they have discovered outside.
Fairy House Fun (ages 3-10)
Imagination, creativity and innovation are encouraged at this party inspired by the book, Fairy Houses, by author Tracy Kane. The importance of respect for nature is focused on in a whimsical, hands-on approach as the children create small homes that will be left in the Park for the fairies of Huber Woods. Bring wings, if desired, and we will supply baskets for the house building materials the children will gather.
Jack Frost (ages 3-10, November – March)
Who is that nipping at your red nose and biting your chilly toes? Jack Frost, of course! Children will warm-up at this party geared for the colder months through ice, snow and frost inspired games and crafts both in and outside the Environmental Center, weather permitting.

BOAT TOUR PARTY* (April-October)
(ages 7 and up)
Enjoy an exciting 1 hour tour of the reservoir by pontoon boat to observe the wildlife that call the Reservoir home. May include views of Bald Eagles and Osprey! Boat tour will be followed by 1 hour of party time.
