THE RESIDENTS OF DEEP CUT GARDENS
Animal, vegetable or mineral…capture the interplay of the various elements that create the allure of Deep Cut. Open to all photographers ages 18 and up. Entries accepted from October 20-November 21 for exhibition in January 2015. See Exhibit Rules and Entry Form.
Deep Cut Gardens is dedicated to the home gardener. The 54 acres of gardens and greenhouses are planned as a living catalog of cultivated and native plant materials to be observed through the seasons. Our renovated Parterre features 52 varieties of roses with over 180 bushes.

Discover new ways to improve your home garden by taking a walking tour of the park, ask the staff horticultural questions, or visit the reference library. Garden programs and classes are also offered. See the latest offerings under HORTICULTURE.
Garden Safari Backpacks
Set out on an exploration of the gardens! Each backpack contains all you need to help you and your family discover new ways of seeing living and non-living features of the gardens. Available daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Horticultural Center, on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is no fee, but you must leave your valid NJ driver’s license with the docent. Drop-in Surprise Story Time
From 11-11:45 a.m. on Saturdays, October 4 & November 1
Join us for a reading from a nature- or garden-related book. If it’s cold or rainy we’ll be inside the Horticultural Center, but if it’s fair we will be out in the garden. A clue at the entrance will lead you to the secret spot! Open to ages 3 and up, under 18 with adult. FREE!
Great Fall Perennial Plant Swap
Saturday, September 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
It's fun, free and easy! Bring perennials in one-quart, one-gallon or two-gallon containers and take home the same size and number of plants. Please label all plants. Houseplants may also be exchanged, but no annuals please. Invasive plants will not be accepted. FREE!
